Our hourlong Online Sprints will help you build a schedule for your writing practice.
Each of our Online Sessions is hosted by a Writing Guide, trained to help you set great goals and make real progress.
You won't be doing this alone. You'll write alongside writers facing down the same challenges you are.
Each week, we'll send you a progress report.
Our Creative Council of expert writers features Emmy winners and New York Times-bestsellers. You get exclusive access.
Writers Blok started in Los Angeles. Our founder, Paul Shirley, knew he didn't like to write by himself and wondered if there were other people like him. Inside a friend's sandwich shop, he started running timed writing sessions.
From those humble beginnings, Writers Blok became a fixture in the Los Angeles writing scene--building its own space and hosting hundreds of monthly members. But throughout that growth, the philosophy remained the same: writing is easier when it's done with a team.
Writers Blok Online uses that same philosophy to help writers all over the world make real progress on their projects. Using servers on Discord, we host Online Sprint sessions, feedback groups, reading rooms, table reads, and Q&As with expert writers.
We've helped thousands of writers build writing practices they can count on. We'd love to do the same for you.
“Even though I’m a queen of distractions, my productivity has increased tremendously. This method WORKS!”
- Lindy (Miami)
“Setting aside time to concentrate without distraction has been vital, and so has the sense of community and friendship the sprints bring to writing—something that can often feel like a lonely pursuit. The process has helped rejuvenate me as a writer, for sure.”
- Scott (New York)
“I had a lot going on and I wasn't writing as much as I wanted. Even though it's not nearly as much as I want, I'm so glad to be writing at all! ”
- Rachel (Seattle)
Experts selected for their ability to help you improve, no matter what genre you're working in.
Every month, each member of our Creative Council hosts a members-only Q&A where they'll de-mystify their field and help you better understand how to make your writing soar. (Premium server only.)
